The Rock N Roll mobile entertainer is the latest and greatest from Combi and it is all sorts of FUN. Mobility is one of the greatest discoveries our little ones make and one of the scariest for us parents. The Rock N Roll mobile entertainer allows you to ease in to this independent stage while still offering up loads of fun and action for our little ones. We are so excited to share this brand new product with you and be giving one away before they hit stores later this month!
First things first, the Rock N Roll (RNR) is really easy to assemble. Everything basically pops together and the only reason you need a screwdriver is to put the batteries in the tray. Easy assembly is always appreciated, right?
The RNR is a multifunctional entertainer that encourages movement. It can be used as both a stationary rocker (for the younger set) and a walker (for the older set). There are three positions height wise so the RNR grows with your child and is suitable for children that can sit up unassisted up to 30 pounds. Once your little one gradates from the rocker stage and is off and walking the RNR the wheels glide smoothly over flat surfaces (we tested everything from carpet to stone and had no issues). For safety purposes there are anti-skid break pads to keep the RNR in place when needed.
While the mobile aspect of the RNR is fun the play tray is engaging and amusing. The play tray is full of interactive toys – a steering wheel complete with a horn, light up shapes, music, lights and gears. The tray pops off to reveal a snack and drink tray which is handy. Lastly, the interactive toy tray can be set in a play area and used without the RNR. The RNR comes in three great colors – red, raspberry and yellow. We were sent the raspberry and it is the perfect little girl mobile.
The RNR feels sturdy and stable and can withstand wily toddlers “exploring” it i.e., pushing it, climbing in to check out the play tray, etc. (side note, Eloise, at 20 month still found the interactive toy tray to be very fun.) The seat is roomy and comfortable providing a cozy place to play and move – it is removable and wipes clean easily.
We asked a friend with an 11 month old whose not quite walking to come test out the RNR. He loved it! He was mesmerized by the play tray and really enjoyed the independence the RNR gave him. He traveled back and forth down our front hall countless times. That being said, the RNR “steers” well allowing little ones to easily turn about. The mama tester made a good point about the RNR providing a safe place for her little guy to be contained in his mobile/not quite walking stage.
In my mind the downside’s of the RNR are very minimal. It does take up some space but depending on your living situation this could be a non issue. Even in our small urban environment, it is easy to store the RNR in a corner when not in use. Other than that, my mama tester and I couldn’t come up with anything else negative.
All in all, the RNR is a super fun, engaging entertainer that provides loads of enjoyment. I can’t wait for Margaux to try it out in a few months!
