When I was pregnant with my first, my husband (who is the 2nd of 7 kids and thought he already knew everything about raising babies) was absolutely sure that we did not need a nursing pillow and could just use a regular pillow instead. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I got an extra Toys R Us giftcard and went out to buy one without him, and it ended up being the most useful baby item we had!! I also live by my breastpump!!

Breastfeeding essential will most likely be the pillow. I have heard what a lifesaver it is. I am looking forward to breastfeeding, but I know there are good times and bad times, hoping for more good than bad 🙂
