For the past few weeks, you’ve probably noticed some new “virtual” faces around here. I am super excited to finally be properly introducing these lovely ladies to you. In order to give them each the introduction they deserve, we’ll be featuring their favorite baby products (seriously, how else would we introduce them?!?). Up first is Katie. Katie is all around a fabulous girl and of course, a wise mama. She is the genius behind the Tailgating Essentials post and chic toy storage ideas – just to name a few. You can see all her posts, here. We’re lucky to have Katie and she has lots more great posts up her sleeve. Over the next few weeks you’ll meet Kate, Mallory and Megan and in the meantime, you’ll get to enjoy their awesome posts!
Hello Wise Baby readers! I am so excited to be joining the Wise Baby team and sharing products, tips and tricks to you all on a weekly basis. My name is Katie and I live with North Carolina with my sweet husband, Jon, my very own wise baby, Sydney Grace, and pup, Sanders. I am a full time working momma who is lucky enough to still be breastfeeding my little one. Here are a list of my favorite baby products to give you a better view and introduction into what has been the most helpful to me for the last 8+ months.
1 – My Brest Friend
Love, love, love. Seriously this may be the one product that I have used every single day since I received it. Unfortunately I struggled for the first few days of breastfeeding because I could not get comfortable and my back was killing me…The Brest Friend definitely helped me through that and may be a large part of why I have been able to continue on for the last 8 ½ months. Since then it has definitely become my go to baby shower gift for other mommas to be.
2 – Circo Crib Sheets @ Target
Our nursery is somewhat neutral but we got these sheets in a variety of patterns (polka dots, chevron and even tiny elephants) and they really add a lot of pop and allow me to change up the look often. I love them because their style rivals sheets those at Pottery Barn Kids but at a great price point…I have found them as low as $3!.
3 – Fisher-Price Deluxe Rock ‘N Play Sleeper, Snugabunny
This is another item that we did not register for and regretted because we used it all the time and I was actually a little sad when I packed it up. Sydney hung out in it, napped it in and even slept in our room at night it up until she was able to turn over. The was a definite favorite that I would buy all over again.
4 – Aquaphor
This product is great for so many reasons. We keep a bottle on her changing table and never leave home without it since it can be used in so many forms- we have used it mainly for dry skin and diaper rash and it has been awesome…seriously it takes the place of multiple products.
5 – Hooded towels
I love bath time and I love hooded towels. We received several as gifts and use them all the time. Our hooded towels primarily come from Target’s Circo line in a variety of patterns but have been wanting to try out the 3 Sprouts hooded towels- the animals on the hoods look adorable.
6 – Johnson’s Baby Bath Bedtime
We typically have bath time in the evening so I like to use Johnson’s Bedtime Bath. The scent is refreshing and relaxing without being too powerful plus it really seems to calm Sydney down right before bedtime.
7 – Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Color Video Monitor
The transition from Sydney sleeping in our room to her crib was a breeze for her but was torture for me. The Summer Infant Video Monitor really helped to ease my mind. It was incredibly easy to set up and mount to the wall and we have had no problems with interference like I have heard with other video systems. The touch screen makes for easy to zoom in or out, change the volume or adjust the lightness. Overall the peace of mind is priceless to me!
It is funny because looking back over my list of favorites I did not register for the majority of them…I guess it just took some time to figure out what worked well for Sydney and I.
