It is Wednesday which means it is time for one of our favorite features, real moms favorite baby products! Up today is fellow Chicago dweller, Alexis is sharing her picks for her sweet baby Ray. Stephanie has put together a great list of products that work with all ages. Thanks to Stephanie for sharing her favorites and if you are interested in sharing yours, email me – it is easy and fun!
Hello! I am a first-time mom to baby adorable Ray. Baby Ray is six months old and we live with my husband in Chicago. Here are some of my current favorite products for my six-month-old!
1 – Books
I am an avid reader, so I stocked up on books for Ray, and I read to him every night. He seems to enjoy them all, but he already has his favorites, such as “But Not The Hippopotamus” and “Winnie-the-Pooh’s Colors“.
2 - Carter’s Creepers
Ray spits up a lot (and I do mean a LOT), so being able to quickly change his outfit without getting spit up everywhere is important. He basically lives in the Carter’s creepers with snaps. They are easy to get on and off, easy to throw a pair of pants over if he gets chilly, and you can usually find them on sale for a good price. Plus, lots of them have animals on the butt, which I think is adorable.
3 - Itzy Ritzy wet bag
These are great for traveling. I put wet bibs and clothing in them and don’t have to worry about getting everything else in the diaper bag wet.
4 - Sophie the Giraffe
Ray has just started teething, and he loves to chew on Sophie! So far, this is the only teething toy we’ve tried that he has liked. He takes Sophie everywhere, even when he’s not munching on her ears, and will only fall asleep in the car if he’s holding her. Luckily, she is small and easy to clean. The easy to clean part is key!
5 - Simply Saline Baby Moisturizing Nasal Swabs
A must for cleaning out Ray’s nose. I found these to be much more effective than the blue bulb I got from the hospital.
6 - Aden + Anais muslin swaddle blankets
I used these blankets to swaddle Ray when he was a newborn, and now I use them as blankets, a nursing cover, a sun shield for the infant carrier, a play mat, etc. They are lightweight, so I always have one in the diaper bag.
A big thanks to Alexis for putting together a great list of favorites!
