Today we have real mom, Alison sharing her favorite products. Of course, I have loved each one of these features to date but I appreciate the “spin” on this list. The products she picked are more mama focursed than baby focused because lets be honest being a new mom brings its share of new products, too. I actually liked one of Alison’s picks so much I ordered one upon getting her list. I know you’ll enjoy these and if you are interested in having your favorite products featured, email me and I will give you more details (it is easy, I promise)!
I am a first time mom of a wonderful and laid back 4 month old little boy, living in a 1,500 sq ft house in a city, but in a suburban/neighborhood setting. I just started back to work full time after a 12 week maternity leave. I am a self-confessed product junkie and online shopping aficionado, so needless to say, I regularly scour the internet for the latest and greatest products.
Little Castles Cottage Glider Recliner
I never expected to purchase a recliner for the nursery, but am so very happy someone made the suggestion. This chair is extremely comfortable and the ability to lay almost flat for those nights spent in the nursery is priceless. I chose a neutral linen fabric and am looking forward to the days that this chair can make the transition into our den when it is no longer needed in a nursery.
Majamas nursing pajama set
These were a gift from my parents and I definitely got (their) money’s worth out of them. They are a moisture wicking material, so they are great for those early nights when are (ahem) hotter than usual. They are presentable enough that you don’t feel guilty about not getting out of your pj’s all day, not to mention they are suitable for any unexpected guests who stop by. They are wonderful for nursing mothers, and even have the ability to hold nursing pads.
Nursing sleep bra
A good friend recommended this product to me and I wore one most nights for the first few months. They are extremely comfortable, easy access for feeding, and I often wore it under the majamas for additional coverage. A great alternative/option to a traditional nursing tank.
Noodle & Boo Baby Wash
I am so thankful we received this as a gift from a friend, or else I might have missed out on the wonderful smell of this product. It is the epitome of that heavenly baby scent!
Barefoot Dreams Calypso Wrap
My son was born in November, and due to the cold weather and flu season, we stayed in the house for the majority of his first 8 weeks. I absolutely loved wearing this wrap with leggings and a nursing tank for comfort and warmth. This is not a necessity by any means, but a nice little luxury for any new mom.
MZ Wallace tote/diaper bag
I am extremely happy with my diaper bag choice thus far. I wanted to minimize the number of bags I carried, but because I would be going from daycare straight to the office most days, I wanted something functional that didn’t necessarily look like a diaper bag. This bag is perfect due to the size, number of pockets and the large amount of real estate, not to mention it is water and stain resistant. Win win!
I have my Mother In Law to thank for this tip. I use these pads on top of my nicer changing pad cover, which eliminates the need for constant washing of my pad cover. Could also be used when traveling, etc.
Little Giraffe Dolce Blanket
Most moms have known and Little Giraffe for some time now, but we received this new blanket style as a gift and it quickly became my favorite blanket. It kept my winter baby very warm when we were out in the cold, but is super soft and cozy. For those who like personalization, it handles a monogram well.
I have a slightly different model, but I love the functionality of this tub. The constantly fresh water and built in thermometer is very handy for a mom during bathtime.
Thanks again to Alison for sharing her picks with us – hopefully she’ll be back in a few months to post some more of her favorites. If you’d like to share your favorite products, email me for more info!
