It is Real Mom Wednesday! Today we have pretty mama, Jayne sharing her favorite products for her handsome little guy. I had lots of fun putting Jayne’s post together – she has a great mix of products I already know and love and some new ones that I didn’t know much about (like the Chew Beads necklace). I know you’ll enjoy all of her picks and a big thanks to Jayne for putting together such a great list. If you are interested in sharing your favorite baby products with us, email me for details. It is super easy and based on our recent survey one of the most popular posts here on The Wise Baby!
I am a first time mom living in Washington DC. My son Sid is 8.5 months old and we, along with my husband, live in a tiny 950sq ft condo. It’s amazing how much stuff you accumulate when you have a baby. There are so many amazing baby products, but these are just a few of my favorites that we could not live without!
1 – Fisher Price Space Saver highchair
We don’t have space in our tiny condo for a full sized highchair. We strapped this right onto one of our kitchen chairs and have used it everyday since! The seat fabric comes right off and can go right In the washing machine. The seat also reclines which was great for when my son was a little younger.
2 – Similac Ready to Feed bottles
These bottles are so convenient. I just throw 2 in my diaper bag along with a standard nipple and nipple collar (they screw right on to the bottle) and I am ready to go. No mixing necessary!
3 – Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes – a friend gave this to us and said it was her daughter’s favorite toy. I doubted it at first, but this toy is magical!! If Sid is ever cranky or upset, I hand him this toy and he is mesmerized!! This is a must have for every baby.
4 – Chew Beads necklace
My son loves to chew on this necklace. It’s a good distraction to keep him from chewing on jewelry that I don’t want in his mouth. We take this necklace everywhere and just bought a spare necklace in a different color.
5 – Kickee Pants Onsies
Once you put your baby in one of these onsies you will never want to put him in a regular cotton onsie ever again. These are the softest and stretchiest onsies out there. They are great for babies who hate having things go over their heads. They are so stretchy that your baby won’t even notice you are putting it on.
6 – Babiators
My son is a bit of a celebrity among our family and friends. He never looks better than when he is wearing his black babiators. Everyone always wants to know where we got them, and how we get the baby to keep them on. The answer is keeping his arms under his blanket!
7 – Aden and Anais Cozy Muslin Sleeping Bag
We have tried so many different sleep sacks and this one is by far my favorite. The fabric is so breathable and soft. If it is cooler I can layer him in PJs or if it is really warm he will just sleep in a onsie and this sleep sack.
8 – Bumkins Bibs
These are great once you start feeding your baby solid foods. They wipe clean but you can also throw them in the laundry. I love all the bright colors and patterns!
9 – Aacua 4-in1 bath towel
We got this towel as a gift and had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to use it. Once we understood how it worked, we never looked back. We have probably a dozen hooded bath towels but this is the only one we use. It keeps me dry while pulling the baby out of the bath, while also keeping him all wrapped up and warm.
10 – Skip Hop Diaper Changing Kit
This is a must have for your diaper bag. I love that it holds my diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream and plastic bags all in one place. Plus it doubles as a change pad. No need to go fishing through your diaper bag for everything you need. It’s all in one place!
Again a huge thanks Jayne and I am going to try to get Babiators on Eloise as well as she does on Sid (wish me luck!).
