It is Wednesday which means it is time for another real mom to share her favorite baby products. Up today is Katrina, mama to cute-as-a-button, Kiara. Katrina not only has some really great product picks but some awesome tips for using them as well. A huge thanks to Katrina for sharing her baby product wisdom with us and if you are interested in having your favorite products featured, email me and I will give you more details (it is easy, I promise)!
1 – SnugaMonkey Rock N Play Sleeper
The deluxe one is so soft – even as a 6 month old, she still loves sleeping in this. It keeps her at an incline to help with spit up and it’s the perfect height to essentially co-sleep without her being in the bed.
2 – NoseFrida
My little girl got RSV at 5 months. The blue bulbs do NOTHING compared to this! While it sounds disgusting, it works and there is no way the snot would ever get to your mouth. Combine it with something like little noses saline spray and they can actually breathe!
3 – Earth Mama Angel Baby Natural Nipple Butter
Everything I’ve tried from Earth Mama Angel Baby has been awesome, but this is what I get all new mamas I know. It is lanolin-free, so you don’t have to try to remember to wipe it off before baby eats (how are you supposed to remember anything at those late night feedings?!), all natural, and saved me when starting out breastfeeding.
4 – My Brest Friend
While I don’t use it now that she’s bigger, my little girl wouldn’t latch well when she was born. Nothing worked until I tried this pillow at my lactation consultant’s office. I immediately went out to buy one. We still had trouble, but we at least had a chance of latching with this pillow getting her to the right height.
5 – Moby Wrap
A little intimidating at first, but SO wonderful and easy after the first few times. When she was little, it allowed me to take her places and people couldn’t get to her and touch her, but they could still see her. I flew with her for the first time a week or two ago and I wore her through the airport and didn’t even have to take her out of the Moby to get through security. I tried on a structured carrier the other day and it was so uncomfortable compared to the Moby.
6 – Fisher Price Comfort Rocker
We have an older version of this, but our little girl LIVED in this. It was easy to have downstairs so she could be in the living room with us (keeping it light so she didn’t confuse her days/nights) and now that she sits up, she can still use it. Great item where I can put her down and get things done.
Aren’t Katrina’s picks fabulous? I have never tried the Earth Mama Angel Baby line but would love to. Thanks again Katrina! If you’d like to share your favorite products, email me for more info!
