Big city mama Kendra is sharing her favorite baby products today and what a great line up she has for us. Some of Kendra’s favorites are definitely my favorites but some are new like the Buggy Love stroller cleaner. I have already ordered it and will be sharing a review of it soon! I love when you wise mama’s share something new with me. Anyhow, I know you will love Kendra’s list, too so enjoy! And thanks Kendra. If you’d like to share your favorites email me for the simple steps to do so!
My name is Kendra, I am a first time mom to my 5-month old baby boy, Hunter. I am a stay- t-home mom living in a 1000 SF apartment in Brooklyn, NY. We are very lucky to have an obscenely large nursery for our baby boy, but we do have to get creative with making space for him in our living/eating area where the family spends most of our time. We are very into organic and natural products for our home and many of my favorites for Hunter reflect that.
1) Dapple Toy Cleaner
I love this Dapple cleaner and it smells so good. Every night when Hunter finally goes to sleep I spray down the toys he has drooled all over, wipe them and set them out to dry for more fun in the morning! I also love to use this on his foam tile play mat. He has just started learning to roll and spin and his face and mouth inevitably end up on his mat. This is a great way to keep it clean.
2) Hazel Village Woodland Animals (Fox)
I purchased this at a local arts market thinking I would give it to Hunter when he got a little older. I ended up giving it to him a few days after purchasing and it is large enough that he is able to grasp it and hug it, which melts my heart. He likes to put the little arms and tail in his mouth. I see this being a long time favorite. They have many clothing options (which will be great when he is older) and monogramming available which makes this a really special keepsake.
3) Mustela Facial Cleansing Cloths
I have packs of these everywhere around the apartment and stashed in my diaper bag. No matter what bib we try, Hunter manages to drip milk down his chin and neck right past the bib! These are a life saver when it comes to cleaning up under his chin and his hands so that he can stay a sweet smelling baby.
4) Bjorn Babysitter Balance Air
This is an absolute favorite in our home. At this age, Hunter hates to let us out of his sight. This allows us to sit him outside of the shower, the kitchen, near the computer, anywhere. It folds up easily so we can tuck it anywhere when not in use and is very, very easy to clean.
5) Bugaboo Donkey
I love this stroller. It converts into a double stroller and has a lot of storage. We were so lucky to receive this stroller as a gift from our family and friends so that we wouldn’t have to buy one when we have our next kid and so that we wouldn’t have to buy different strollers for different stages of Hunter’s babyhood. We do not have a car being that we live in an urban area so this is great for going to the grocery store or on any other errands where I will be bringing packages back home. It is surprisingly easy to maneuver in tight city spaces and Hunter loves riding in it.
6) Fabric Love by Buggy Love
I initially bought this to maintain the fabric on our stroller but I have found it best for quickly cleaning up milk and spit-up before it stains the couch or any other materials that messes happen upon. This smells delicious, works great and I feel good about it being organic.
7) Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes
I call this “The Soundtrack to Hunter’s Life”. He absolutely loves this music box and it’s very tolerable for me to listen to all day. I bring it with me to the changing table or in the stroller to instantly calm him down. The button is a little hard for him to push himself at this age, but he loves to play with and grip the beads.
8) Lamaze Peek A Boo Forest Book
So much fun! We call this “the crunchy book” around our house. The pages make a crinkling noise that Hunter cannot get enough of. He also likes to rub the soft fur on the owl’s face. The bright colors really engage Hunter and the book it big enough that he can grip it himself and play away.
A big thanks to Kendra for her fabulous list! If you are interested in sharing your favorites – please email me, we’d love to hear them!
