Hi Meg, thank you for sharing this list of gotta-have products. Your daughter, Charlotte, is precious — I love her name too, my mom is Charlotte. :) I’m glad to know a real mama (i.e. YOU) uses a good old-fashioned food processor to make food purees for their little one. I’m 5 months pregnant with our first (due in December) and seriously considering making wholesome food for our son. However, I don’t have one of those fancy-schmancy blenders that cost and arm and a leg. I do, though, have a great food processor!!!!! I like the side-zip onesie concept, but wow, 20-bucks a pop? Are they really worth the price?

Nicole, the Gap makes some side-snap onsies, too, and since they are practically always having a sale of some sort, you can get them for less than $20. I bought several for my little guy, along with a lot of Carter’s snap-up creepers & rompers because going over the head just did not work for us.

      Hi Nicole!
YES, the food processor gets used a ton in our house. It’s such a time saver. We had the most luck roasting veggies and fruits (pears, apples) in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes, then blending it up and freezing it in ice cube trays. Works like a charm! We use it for ourselves pretty often as well, so we didn’t buy a product marketed for only making baby food. The side-snap onesies can be found so many other places – Alexis mentioned Gap and I’ve seen them at Target as well (I think Gerber sells them in a pack of three). Carters makes a side-snap shirt, I believe it’s called a kimono-style shirt that they sell in a pack of 4 for around the same price. Good luck!!!

    I absolutely second the Cuisinart!

We use it to make smoothies, too, and recently discovered how much Susanna loves them! Favorite baby combos:

*pears, strawberries, a bit of frozen OJ concentrate, guava juice, and pineapple.
*strawberries, bananas, frozen mango, pineapple, and almond milk.

I basically just blend up what I’d drink, but skip the honey and protein powder. She inhales them!

We LOVE the Cuisinart too! Also big fans of our Beco Gemini and MAM pacifiers. Thanks for a great list!
