Hi Wise Baby readers! I’m Sara, a first time mom to a beautiful 6-week old baby girl, Grace Elizabeth. We live just outside of Tucson, Arizona in a 1700 sq. ft. home near the breathtaking Catalina Mountains. Throughout my pregnancy, I followed all of the real mom’s favorite products posts and have become a fan of many of the recommendations like Aden and Anais blankets, Sleep Sheep, and Baby K’tan. I’m so excited to share what products our little family has come to love, and hope my review is helpful to you!
1 – Mam pacifiers
Our little Grace is breastfed, and when we tried to introduce a pacifier, she vehemently refused. Yet, she wanted to suck on our fingers all day long! We tried Avent, Soothies, generic, Tommee Tippee, GumDrop, and Nuk…nothing worked. We eventually stumbled on Mam pacifiers, and they were an instant hit!
2 – Fisher Price Rock ‘n Play Sleeper
For months, DH and I debated on where our newborn would sleep; a pack-n-play? a bassinet? We got the Rock ‘n Play, and it’s Grace’s favorite place to nap and sleep at night, and she can sleep for 5+ hours at a time! It can easily be moved around the house to be wherever we are and is a breeze to fold up for traveling.
3 – Keekaroo Peanut Diaper Changer
This changer is made of a soft, water resistant material so any accidents during changes are easy to clean up. We also used the Peanut for newborn sponge baths and now for face washing. It’s the perfect spot to not worry about water. No pads that slide across the changer and need to be washed all the time. We just take a wet wipe right to the changer and clean it all up.
4 – Magnificent Baby Footsies
I used to hate middle of the night diaper changes. First, unsnap all those fasteners, get her feet out, change her diaper, get her feed back in, and then re-snap all those fasteners…in the dark. Then I found Magnificent Baby’s magnetic footsies, and they have totally changed our overnight diaper changes. The magnetic closure takes the guesswork out of matching up those fasteners when you’re sleepwalking! Not to mention they are so incredibly soft.
5 – Noodle and Boo Baby Balm
Grace has pretty bad, dry baby acne. After lots of research and talks with the pediatrician, I gave Noodle and Boo Baby Balm a try. It soothed her dry face and helped the acne. It’s not an acne removal miracle, but it’s been a great help.
6 – Uppababy Vista Stroller
I knew I wanted a stroller that we could take lots of walks with even when Grace was a newborn. The smooth ride, versatility, easy folding, car seat adapter, and adjustable handle height were just a few of the reasons we chose the Vista stroller. We love the bassinet it came with, not to mention all of the compliments we receive on it!
7 – Dollar Tree Children’s Hangers
I’m particular about hangers. They must be smooth around the edges and have just the right strap cut out. After trying out all of the children’s hangers I could get my hands on, these were the favorite hands down. Plus they have cute colors in addition to white!
Again, a big THANKS to Sara for sharing her very wise favorites with us. I’d love to feature your favorites, too – just email me for the deets!
