This post is longgg overdue. We’re turning eight months next week so I figured I better get this post out there. The thing is we don’t have a ton of new favorite baby products. We are still using everything from our six month post but have added a few new pieces of gear and Eloise has definitely found some new favorite toys. What did your little one love at seven months?
Itzy Ritzy shopping cart cover
Admittedly, I did not register for one of these but was given one as a gift and am so glad I was! I love that this shopping cart cover helps make trips to the grocery store, Cosco, etc more of an outing than Eloise being buzzed around in her stroller. Eloise loves to look around and I love that she is on a clean cover as opposed to a germs shopping cart. The cover also as loops to attach toys too which is a great feature to help keep Eloise entertained when she gets tired of shopping.
Sippy cups
The one pictured here is by Dr. Brown’s and we have a few others and Eloise LOVES all of them. I can’t say the same but that is a whole other post. I do like the Dr. Brown’s one because when Eloise tips it upside down water does not come out (like some others). I am working on putting together an entire review of sippy cups and definitely welcome any feedback on one you may like!
Bibs
With the introduction of solids bibs are an obvious must. Bibs are much like sippy cups – some good some bad. I like these ones from aden + anais quite a bit and they wash well. These are a great size and keep things clean and are soft enough to wipe face and hands before a more proper clean up. Of course there are other bibs we like too – more on those later.
Baby Food storage
I love making homemade baby food and prefer to do it in large batches every ten to fourteen days. That being said, I love this baby food storage solution from OXO. These individual containers are microwave and dishwasher safe and are great proportions. I also like the Multiportion by Beaba and use both of them to store all of Eloise’s delicious dishes.
Melissa & Doug Fill and Spill
Eloise loves everything about this picnic basket. All four “characters” that come in the basket are fun and encourage tactile development with their different textures. She also gets a surprising amount of joy out of the basket itself. She loves to pick it up and shake it around. I know she will continue to get newfound enjoyment out of this toy for months to come.
Pillow Pal
This pillow pal is a great addition to our playmat. It is great for putting behind Eloise when she is sitting up as a little “protector” should she spontaneously decide to relax! It is also great for her to take a little break from the crawling, sitting and general high activity level. She loves using it as a pillow and chatting with the cute little “pal”.
Dapple wipes
I love these wipes for cleaning toys, the playmate, highchair and everything in between. They are also great for wiping down cloth toys in between washes. Not only are they easy to use they contain no harmful chemicals and are super safe for our little ones. These are a must have around our house!
Check out our favorite baby products at one, two, three, four, five and six months too!

Our favorite bibs are the ones my Mom made us using the same material as the cloth wipes she made.

There’s something wonderful about blending a baby with flannel and love that I adore!
I’m looking forward to trying the thinkBaby sippy cups down the calendar road. Susanna has been loving those bottles of late!
Thanks for sharing Wendy! I love the DIY bib idea. I am going to have to try the thinkBaby sippy cups – I have also heard great things! xo
We have tried so many different sippy cups. My favorites are the Nuk starter sippy cup for younger babies and the Avent soft spout insulated sippy now that she is older. Both are practically spill free!
Did you do a post on sippy cups? I didn’t see one but maybe I missed it. I’m looking to get one for my son but have no idea where to start!
Hi Elizabeth, I haven’t put all my thoughts together in one cohesive place just yet but am actually working on it for next week or the following week (good timing on your part!). I love, love the Dr. Brown’s ones – both the hard and soft spout. They absolutely do not leak. Eloise actually likes them with the handles removed. We reviewed the Dr. Brown’s ones here: http://thewisebaby.com/dr-browns-solid-feeding-products-review-giveaway/ but stay tuned for a review of other brands in the next week or so!
