There isn’t much from Skip Hop we don’t love. One of our favorite Skip Hop products are the PlaySpot Tiles. We’ve mentioned them numerous times before and reviewed them in our play area essentials post but bottom before and consider them an intregal part to a playroom or in our place, a play area. Skip Hop has taken the Playspot tiles up a notch and one of my favorite sightings at the AB Tradeshow this past Octover was the FunSpot Activity Circles. We were sent a set of these new Activity Circles for review and because we don’t want to have all the fun, we are giving away a set of the new FunSpot Activity Circles AND Playpot tiles – awesome, right?!?
The FunSpot Activity Circles add a sensory element to the typical Playspot tiles by providing both a tactile and auditory element. The FunSpot’s take the place of the solid, center circles in the Playspot tiles and are easy to pop in. They sit flush with the tiles so the overall surface is still smooth enough for crawling or walking over, if need be. The green webbing you see in the photo below keeps them firmly in place, even from busy toddler hands! There are three variations of the FunSpot tiles: a baby safe mirror, a flower like pattern with several different colors and textures including a “squeaker” in the center and the always popular, crinkle leaf and lastly, a round design with several colors, textures and a soft, rubbery teether attachment. All of the tiles are visually stimulating and appealing to little one’s eyes.
The Circles fit in easily to the Playspot tiles and you could add as many sets as you’d like. The Playspot tiles are great because you can create any configuration and use as few or all of the 20, 14″ x 14″ tiles. Bonus – they come in lot of fun colors all of which could match more “adult decor” if, for example, the tiles are in your open living space (likes ours). They Playspot tiles are safety rated for little ones as young as newborns and will last through the toddler years. Currently, we love the Playspot tiles as a firm surface that provide traction for tummy time sessions. As Margaux gets older and play and tummy time increases she’ll love the sensory element the FunSpot Activity Circles provide.
Bottom line, the FunSpot Activity Circles are another innovative, awesome product from Skip Hop. We all know how important sensory and tactile development is and these Circles provide it in a fun and functional way.
We are giving away a set of Playspot tiles and the new FunSpot Activity Circles! Yay. The giveaway starts today, February 17th and ends Saturday, February 22nd at noon CST. Winner will be chosen at random, contacted via email and have five days to claim their prize before another winner is selected.
We would never accept money for a product review but we were sent PlaySpot tiles and FunSpot Activity Circles for testing as part of this review. All of the opinions expressed herein are that of The Wise Baby.
