Urban Baby Registry Guide 9

Urban Baby Registry Guide

Posted on

As an urban family ourselves we realize that we just simply don’t have the space our suburban friends do.  We would love to have three or four strollers but we don’t have a basement or garage to store extra gear and from a square footage perspective we are working with much less.  The Urban Registry Guide covers all the bases without compromising on functionality.  Even if you aren’t in an urban environment, you may find some products on this Registry more applicable to your lifestyle.

You’ll see many of the same products here as on the other lists.  The major changes come in gear (strollers, high chair, etc) and the number of items (extra sheets, changing pad covers, etc) we suggest.  We’ve made some notes on the changes we made below but the bottom line is we have chosen space saving, multi functioning products that grow with your child. We included a highlights of the Urban Registry Guide to showcase a few of these changes. What do you think – do you like the visual or do just want to see the list?

We love the Fisher Price Rock & Play Sleeper! Nola sleeps straight through the night in it. Plus, it’s the perfect height next to our platform bed. No more getting out of bed to replace her paci when she needs it! :)

The rock and play sleeper is fabulous! You can easily carry it from room to room (while carrying a newborn baby) and pop it up wherever you need it. When she wasn’t being held, Eleanor lived in her rock and play from 0-3 months. Also, you can actually postpone the need for a pack and play since the rock and play is so easy to throw in the back of the car and go. We took it on weekend trips until she was strong enough to sit up on her own and then transitioned to the PNP.

What a great tip Shan! I am thrilled to hear we can take the Rock ‘n Play with us instead of the big PNP. Thanks for the feedback! xoxo

I have never seen the puj tub! What a great idea! The traditional infant tubs are so bulky and take up too much space. Where can I buy???

Baby Nathaniel loves the Rock N Play. We went our first trip to grandmas and took a PNP and it was cumbersome but did the job. The Rock N Play is so much lighter (really light) and fits in the back of the car. It goes from room to room and doubles as a hang out sport for lil one. The Rock N Play feels almost familiar as it is almost shaped the same as the cradle swing that the lil one has at home but is too big too travel with. We were so happy we got one. Baby has spit up issues after eating and it is furthermore PERFECT for keeping him upright after eating. We got this one and like that it is more lightweight fabric as we feel it is more versatile. http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Newborn-Rock-Sleeper-Yellow/dp/B002M77N22
